Hendriana Werdaningsih is pursuing a PhD in design at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She has an interest in culture, gender, design thinking, and small scale industry, that shown in most of her research and publications.

She is a senior lecturer at Paramadina University, Jakarta.

She studied product design for her bachelor’s degree and design for her masters from Bandung Institute of Technology.

Upon completion of the program, she intends to return to Paramadina University to strengthen the Faculty of Engineering in the curriculum development, research and community service programs.
