Ivan Rahmatullah is studying for a doctorate in biomedical health informatics at the University of Washingtion, Seattle. He sees great potential for information technology to improve health care provision in Indonesia and elsewhere.

His MD degree is from Airlangga University, Surabaya (2007), and he then studied for a master’s in public health at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia (2011). He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya.
