Janika Berridge
Award Year: 2019

Janika graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2013 with a degree in psychology and minors in photography and Spanish. In 2015, she returned to her alma mater to work as an admissions counselor for first-year recruitment. Outside of work, she joined the New Jersey chapter of AFS-USA, an intercultural exchange organization that provided an exciting community of hosted international students and local volunteers. With AFS, Janika chaperoned a group of Indonesian exchange students on their return journey from the USA to Jakarta – a trip that influenced her desire to return to Indonesia. She looks forward to engaging with and learning from her host community.

For her Fulbright ETA program, Janika will be placed at East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan where she will co-teach at SMAN 2 Sangatta Utara.
