Junia is a corporate affairs officer at Cargill Tropical Palm in West Kalimantan. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Universitas Padjadjaran in 2014. She wants to pursue a Master’s degree in environmental studies.

She is interested to learn how to design the most effective method to implement sustainable industrial practices without jeopardizing people’s lives and ecosystem assets.

Upon completion of her study, she plans to return to the community and initiate “Empowered Women for an Improved Village”, an approach led by women, to develop active participation by communities and the private sector. She believes that this approach will contribute to managing natural resources in a way that will benefit both the environment and local communities.

For her Master’s degree program, Junia is placed at Ohio University to study environmental studies.
