Komariah is an English teacher at State Vocational School (SMK) 1 Sangatta Utara in East Kutai, East Kalimantan. With her Fulbright scholarship, she is pursuing a master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the State University of New York, Binghamton, related to curriculum development and material design, incorporating education technology to enhance TESOL for vocational school students.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Universitas Hasanuddin.
