SMKN 2 Salatiga is nearing the end of the semester, in which “Past Tense” and “Recount Text” are the last two topics. ETA Michelle Nguyen thought that this was a perfect opportunity to get to know her students better, in addition to allowing her students to get a better snapshot into her life. She prepared a lesson plan surrounding the idea of “Life Maps,” where she presented her own and allowed students to begin to formulate a way to create their own. This was one of Michelle’s favorite lesson plans thus far because she was able to get to know her students better, while also motivating them to learn English. Michelle has also made her way out to the local university to present about the Fulbright ETA experience. So not only are her students at SMKN 2 getting to know her better, but so are some of the university students and professors at the local university.
