At the University of Georgia, Lusi Suryani is pursuing teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) & world language education supported by the Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship. Upon her return, she plans to develop a literature-integrated English teaching syllabus and contribute to local teacher communities to help improve literacy skills in her region.

She is an English teacher at SMP Maitreyawira in Palembang. Her bachelor’s degree in English education was from Universitas Sriwijaya.
