It’s hard to believe that we’re already one full month into 2020, where is the time going?
Perhaps the 12th-graders at SMAN 1 Seluma think the time is moving just a little too quickly, much as ETA Conor Jackman does.
With National Exams just two months away many seniors, as we would call them in the United States, are attending the supplemental review classes in addition to their extracurricular commitments after the normal school day. ETAs co-teach courses of 10th and 11th-grade students only. Although there are several other activities ETA Conor participates in and leads, the seniors have been feeling a bit left out.
Recently, however, ETA Conor and the homeroom teachers began leading Friday morning warm-up sessions for the 12th-grade students. ETA Conor leads the students in English language games such as Simon Says, Pictionary, and other upbeat activities. It’s been a great way to introduce some of the tools Bu Siti, Pak Oki, and ETA Conor use with their 10th and 11th-grade classes.
Conor Jackman is currently teaching at SMAN 1 Seluma, Bengkulu.
