Mutti Anggitta is originally from Bogor. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science, with specialization in Nuclear Non-Proliferation and International Security at SUNY Albany. She is inspired to take that field of study because she wants to be a female nuclear expert and help close the gender gap in nuclear field. She hopes to conduct research on the significance of the additional safeguard measures under the Iran Nuclear Deal because an early assessment of their contribution is important not only because the deal is a major non-proliferation case, but also it has the most robust and intrusive verification mechanism ever negotiated or any nuclear deal in history.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from University of Indonesia and master’s degree in Science and Security from King’s College London. Prior to her Fulbright award, she is a lecturer at BINUS University, Department of International Relations.
