Rina Kurniawati is currently pursuing her study in the doctoral program in Hospitality Management at University of Central Florida.
Her proposed dissertation research will evaluate the tourism and hospitality management program curriculum in the United States and Indonesia. She would like to find out the important aspects in the areas of curriculum development and implementation including goals, contents, methods, and evaluations.
Her subject of interests include English, Introduction to Tourism, Human Resource Management and Sustainable Tourism. Prior to her career at the university, she worked in the industry as Training Manager at ARA Hotel for a year. In her current institution, she also serves as an administrator assisting Training and Recruitment Division, Quality Control Officer, and Director of Professional Certification Department. As a lecturer, she has conducted several research projects in Tourism. Some of them have been published in journal, proceeding, paper, and textbook
She received her Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Universitas Negeri Jakarta in 2005 and two Master’s degrees in Tourism Management from Universitas Sahid, Jakarta and Northern University of Malaysia in 2008.
Upon the completion of her doctoral degree program, she intends to return to continue teaching at her home institution, Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Sahid, Jakarta and to develop study program curriculum.
