Octaviyanti Dwi Wahyurini is currently studying in the multidisciplinary doctoral program in rhetorics, communication, and information design at Clemson University, in Clemson, South Carolina. She hopes to conduct research on the engagement of people and technology in developing countries.

Her BA-level degree was in visual communication design from ITS Surabaya (2003), and she earned a master’s degree in applied design and art from Curtin University, Australia in 2012. She is a lecturer in the Industrial Design Department of ITS Surabaya, where she has taught since 2005.
