ETA Kush Mansuria and his fantastic co-teachers introduced how to express your intentions and what you will do in the future. Students worked on using the different forms of intention: “will,” “going to,” and “would like to.” First students worked in groups to answer prompts about what they would do in different situations. For example, “You and your best friend are in space!” Students gave many creative answers like “We will look for aliens on Mars” and “I will take a parachute to glide down to Earth.”
Students also practiced their creative skills by drawing illustrations to accompany what they will do on the weekend. This activity got students excited to connect their artistic skills to learning English! During September, Kush also celebrated the 470th anniversary of Kota Kudus with his co-teacher Pak Ludhi with a “Fashion on the Street” performance displaying traditional clothing from Kudus. In the next month, Kush looks forward to using engaging activities in class to help students learn English and exploring more of his local community.
Kush Mansuria is currently teaching at SMK Raden Umar Said Kudus, Central Java.
