Owais, a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), is based at SMAN 4 Jambi to co-teach English.

Having recently graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in economics, Owais has a background of teaching at a local after-school center and assisting refugees in their transition to life in the United States. These interactions and his previous teaching roles led him to embark on the Fulbright ETA journey in Indonesia. His enthusiasm lies in immersing himself in a new culture and gaining insights into community, religion, and education dynamics in Indonesia.
