ETA Andrew Shifren thought hard this month about how to get the whole school involved in the English storytelling WORDS competition. For his classes, he wrote five stories about Flores in the future. After the students translated his stories with some shocked reactions (A train in Labuan Bajo?? A direct flight to New York from Lembor????), they were tasked with making their own.

Each student drew a small scene and captioned it with a sentence in English. At the end of the week, Andrew had more than 200 drawings of the future of Flores. With the help of some students, he hung these up on the walls for the WORDS competition.
