Rian is a team leader in the Mathematics Department at Sekolah Dian Harapan in Makassar, South Sulawesi. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Universitas Pelita Harapan in 2013.

He is interested in studying about parents’ involvement in education, especially for those who have had limited access to formal education or students with limited or interrupted formal education which motivated him to pursue a Master’s degree in leadership, management and education Policy.

Upon completion of his program, he will return to his institution to develop alternative programs for drop-out students through regular workshops and participatory community-building programs.

For his Master’s degree program, Rian is placed at Vanderbilt University to study international education policy and management.
