Sena Pradipta

Sena is the section head for Oil and Gas Sector at the Directorate for Hazardous Waste Contaminated Site Remediation, Ministry of Environment and Forestry in Jakarta. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering and Master’s degree in mining engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2006 and 2009.

He would like to pursue a PhD degree in the environmental public policy, with the focus of environmental related resources management public policy. His proposed research is to proof whether the insertion of environmental costs in the cost recovery scheme is a concealed breach to the “polluter pays principle” and eventually will set up an alternative policy model of environmental costs in oil and gas industry.

Upon the completion of his program, he intends to return to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and influence the policy making process especially in the sustainable resources management, and establishing a capacity development institution that focuses on mainstreaming sustainable development in the political fronts.

For his Fulbright Doctoral degree program in public policy, Sena is placed at Oregon State University.
