Septi Kurniasih is a lecturer in science and researcher at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Serang, Banten. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology education from Universitas Bengkulu and her master’s degree in biotechnology from Universitas Gadjah Mada.

She studies teaching and learning at The Ohio State University, focusing on curriculum and science. She intends to contribute to the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) pedagogical frameworks for science education and to bridge the gap between curriculum and the practice of science education.
