Sauqina is a lecturer in science education at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Her bachelor’s degree in biology education was from Universitas Lambung Mangkurat and her master’s degree in science education was from University College London, United Kingdom.

Supported by the Fulbright Doctoral Degree Program, she studies learning and teaching in STEM at North Carolina State University.
