Syahrul is a science teacher at Sekolah Darma Yudha Pekanbaru, Riau. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry education from Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim in 2014.

His proposed study is related to his current working field which is science education.

Upon completion of his program, he intends to return to his current institution to teach science and apply his gained knowledge, skills and experiences which he has earned during his study in the United States.

For his Master’s degree program, Syahrul is placed at Texas A&M University, College Station to study curriculum and instruction.
