During February ETA Said Haji based in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan had the opportunity to visit a village about 30 minutes outside his city called Anjir. Said was invited to give a presentation on what it’s like living in the United States, and also present the students with study abroad opportunities offered through programs such as Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program and those managed by the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF).

After the presentation, Said took some questions, many of which revolved around his identity of being Muslim in America. There were many misconceptions Said was able to clear up with the community about his life and growing up in the US. After the presentation, many students expressed to Said they were excited to pursue opportunities to study abroad.
