Wahyu Setioko is pursuing a doctoral degree in STEM education at Ohio State University. He wants to investigate potential collaborations between Indonesian universities and informal STEM education institutions such as science museums to improve the quality of pre-service STEM teachers.

Wahyu is a teacher for an Australia-Indonesia partnership program called Innovation for Indonesia’s School Children (INOVASI) in central Lombok which focuses on improving student learning outcomes in numeracy and literacy.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Jakarta State University and a master’s in STEM education from Ohio State University.

Upon completion of the doctoral degree program, he intends to take up teaching and research roles in a university or a teacher college.
