ETA Michelle Nguyen held her local WORDS competition at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga on February 22, 2020. After a month of recruiting, practicing with students, and preparing for the competition, Michelle would say it was a success.

It was amazing to finally see the hard work that students put into these heartfelt short stories about the theme, “heroes.” Michelle was incredibly impressed with the talent of her students and was excited to continue this process onto the national WORDS competition.

Anisa, the winner of Michelle’s local WORDS competition, will be going to Jakarta to meet with 27 other amazing Indonesian students in April. Anisa has never been on a plane before and is just as nervous about flying on a plane as she is about participating in WORDS! Wish her luck!
