Zulfirman is currently a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at Yale University. He is assisting mostly in beginning Indonesian classes, and also occasionally in intermediate and advanced classes. Like all FLTAs, he is also taking courses. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2012 in English education at Islamic University Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjary Kalimantan, in Banjarmasin.

Since then he has been a TOEFL preparation tutor at Interact English Course, Banjarbaru, and he also teaches a six-month course in English for airlines staff recruits at Airlines Business Career Tadika Puri, Banjarmasin. He hopes in future to take a master’s degree abroad with the idea of becoming a university lecturer in his home town, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan.
