Hannah, a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), is co-teaching English at SMAN 10 Bengkulu, Bengkulu.
She graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in leadership & public policy.
Inspired by her semester abroad in the Asia Pacific, Hannah was introduced to Indonesia during a homestay in Ubud. Upon graduation, Hannah was awarded a Critical Language Scholarship from the State Department to study Bahasa Indonesia at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), which she completed virtually while working full-time during COVID-19. She spent the last year supporting a new nongovernmental, nonpartisan, international think tank in Taipei, Taiwan.
While at UVA, Hannah co-founded a pro bono consulting firm for nonprofits and female-founded startups, which she continued as she entered the workforce as a consultant for clients across the private and public sectors. She volunteers on the Batten Alumni Advisory Board and UVA Club of Taiwan. As a lifetime soccer player and writer, she looks forward to sharing the joy of entrepreneurship, poetry, and athletics with her students to make learning language fun in and outside the classroom.
