Lindsay graduated from Knox College in 2019 with a major in anthropology & sociology and a minor in biology. She had previously studied and lived near Arusha, Tanzania. During college, she sang with various jazz ensembles in and around western Illinois, and she hopes to start music groups at her school to promote cultural exchange and English learning. More broadly, Lindsay is interested in the intersections between conservation and local communities, and hopes to join local conservation groups while she is in Indonesia. She is very excited to connect with and learn from the community she will soon call home.

She will teach at SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi in East Java.
