Dr. Amanah Nurish is researching ethnography at Stanford University. Her research on “Transnational Networks and Political Trajectories in Contemporary Indonesia” analyzes data from an anthropological perspective and preliminary literature studies.
She is an anthropologist and lecturer at Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta.
She earned her bachelor’s in the philosophy of Islam and master’s and doctorate degrees in the anthropology of religion, all three from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
