At Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Dr Enny Sudarmonowati is conducting research on how both techniques of molecular biology, through gene expression, and biochemistry, through photo and chemical treatments, can be used to promote metabolite accumulation in chili pepper (capsicum). Her research would have multiple benefits for her field and collaboration between Indonesian and American plant scientists.
Dr Enny is a senior researcher at Cibinong Science Center-Botanic Garden, under Badan Riset dan Inovasi (BRIN), Bogor.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Institut Pertanian Bogor and a PhD in plant biotechnology from the University of Bath, UK.
