Dr Shane T. Wasden is a Fulbright Specialist at Universitas Katolik Soegijapranata (Soegijapranata Catholic University, SCU) in Semarang from May 28 to June 26, 2024. The project’s activities include teaching students about entrepreneurship and business from an international perspective in university-wide student lectures and faculty workshops, primarily within the Faculty of Economics and Business. Other lectures and activities are also being held within the Faculty of Language and Arts, Computer Science, and Architecture and Design. In addition to teaching student lectures, leading faculty discussions, and advising SCU students in their entrepreneurship competitions, he also assists in providing input and feedback regarding current curricula offerings and case study teaching methodology within the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Dr Wasden is a multifaceted professional excelling in academia, business management, and entrepreneurship. He holds advanced degrees, including a doctorate in Leadership from the University of Idaho, and is recognized for his innovative teaching methods at Brigham Young University-Idaho. As the Business Management Department chair at BYU-Idaho, he oversees numerous students and faculty and has developed new programs and courses. His most recent professional innovation is coauthoring four courses and creating an e-published online entrepreneurship certificate, allowing students to complete the certificate using a smartphone. This has assisted entrepreneurs around the world in over 180 countries.

Dr Wasden is committed to entrepreneurship and education worldwide, as shown by his international experience and research in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, DR Congo, Mexico, Belize, South Korea, and the USA. He is also a founding board member of a humanitarian nonprofit organization promoting education as the pathway out of poverty. His career integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, significantly impacting academic and business spheres.
