The English teachers of MAN Demak including Fulbright ETA Sabrina Verleysen were pleased to welcome four English trainers from the English Village in East Java for a full immersion eight-day English Camp at MAN Demak.

Sixty students were divided up into four smaller groups, accompanied by one trainer from the English Village and one English teacher from MAN Demak. ETA Sabrina Verleysen accompanied all groups and assisted the trainers with pronunciation and group activities. The program was complete starting at 7 in the morning until 5 in the evening.

The daily program included pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening activities as well as lots of singing and dancing. The ETA and the English teachers were excited to collaborate and learn new techniques from the English trainers. Over the course of the program, students greatly increased their fluency and level of confidence in speaking English. MAN Demak hopes to continue this tradition of inviting the English Village trainers to the school.
