Dr Indah Emilia Wijayanti will conduct research at the Center of Ring Theory and Its Applications, Department of Mathematics, Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio, on “the relationship of rings and modules from the perspective of lattice and radical theory.”

She is a passionate advocate for research in mathematics, as it is essential to so many other applied fields, such as physics, engineering, statistics, and computer science.

She earned her bachelor’s and master degrees in mathematics at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, and her PhD in mathematics with a dissertation on co-prime modules at the Heinrich Heine University, in Duesseldorf, Germany.

Dr Wijayanti works as an associate professor of mathematics at Gadjah Mada University.
