Kathrine Lee received Fulbright US Student Research award for a research project “Anthropogenic Influences upon Water Quality and Reef Health in Bali, Indonesia.” Katie, who has a BS in Environmental Science and Health from University of California, Los Angeles has arrived in the Island of the Gods to start her project, while simultaneously learning Bahasa Indonesia. Katie plans to study the relationship between human stressors and water quality or reef health. She hopes her research would provide information about impacts of development in the island and how to pursue sustainable development for Bali and other regions in Indonesia. Her project, which is slated to finish in August 2018, and is supported by Universitas Udayana.
