ETA Khalid Osman participated in an English Language Learning workshop with fellow ETAs Matt Poissant and Sam Chen and an English Language Fellow. The event took place at MAN Demak, Central Java.

Khalid spent the morning facilitating English Language Learning exercises for the Demak Association of English Teachers. Between workshop activities, Khalid connected with local teachers, answering questions about Al-Azhar University and Egyptian culture. Afterwards, the facilitators shared a delicious meal consisting of ikan bakar (grilled fish) and nasi (rice). After the workshop concluded, the group took photos with the program participants.

Khalid was very grateful for the hospitality shown by MAN Demak, as well as the chance to observe teachers from a fellow ETA’s school. The rest of the day was spent in Semarang, touring the city and admiring colonial architecture in the former Dutch capital.
