Rebecca Barr is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) co-teaching English at SMA Katolik Syuradikara, Ende, Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur.

Rebecca graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a Master of Arts in Teaching. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Education from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She wrote her graduate thesis on social-emotional learning, specifically the importance of self-awareness.

Her past teaching experience, along with her major in sociology and education, shaped her decision to apply to the Fulbright ETA Program. She hopes that being an ETA will deepen her understanding of education in other cultural and social contexts. Being an ETA allows her to both contribute to the classroom and deepen her teaching pedagogy.
