By the recommendation of the English Club officers, ETA Owais Mahmood spent his English Club watching “Night at the Museum” with his students. Before beginning, however, students were given the opportunity to ask any question they pleased. Owais received questions about favorite sports, athletes, and favorite Indonesian foods to more personal questions such as age and political opinions. Regardless, the students were highly motivated after the question-and-answer session, and the group segued into the main event.

Before the movie, the students were split into three groups to identify the character(s), setting, and problem of the story. The students took notes on these elements and successfully completed the task through collaboration by the end of the movie. One of the points of feedback in response to the film was to increase media and games to motivate students to learn English. The students are excited for more English club activities and are looking forward to what these next eight months hold.
