In January ETA Katia Oltmann started giving English lessons to her neighbor’s two children.  The lessons started when Katia’s neighbor, who owns a laundry business and who Katia has been paying to do her laundry for the past five months, asked how much lessons cost. She was as happy to find out that lessons were free as Katia was to find out that she would get to spend part of her Saturday afternoon with two really cute kids. One of them is an eight year old boy and the other is a six year old girl. So far, Katia has given them two lessons. The first one was about introductions, and the second one was about numbers. Katia loves being able to see the kids’ enthusiasm for learning English. They are always really eager to write down whatever she puts up on her whiteboard (generously provided by her neighbor). And Katia always looks forward to teaching them.
